Had a drink with her yesterday (actually i didn't drink anything) and we mainly talked about nonsense things, such as chinese herbs, her new home in Lamma Island ... meow ... Somebody here might not know who is Seeman ... let me introduce her to you all ...
Seeman Ho aka 二犬十一咪 (in chinese means Two Dogs Eleven Cats) is a sculpturer, writer, painting artist. She was a graduate from the fashion design school in hk polytechnic university, but she had never thought of joining the fashion industry. reason ? she's written in her new book "being a fashion designer one have to deceive people, to make them pay money to change their clothes every month, I don't want to lead you in this direction."
Upon graduation, Seeman became a full-time artist. During the recent 10 years, she has hold numerous exhibitions, including some joint exhibitions with brands Chanel, Benetton etc., published many books and has artworks selected to be exhibited in Venice Biennale. 很久沒有跟二犬十一咪見面， 因為一直以為她仍在紐約作藝術交流。 直至早前在書局見到她的新書《娘足十年》， 才約她見見面。 不過昨天我們 (還有salina)也是談些無聊事， 例如怎樣在office用電飯煲煮飯、中草藥 ... 這裡可能有人不認識二犬，讓我介紹一下。
二犬是理工大學時裝設計系畢業生，但她從不打算當時裝設計師。她在新書中是這樣寫的：「設計師是牽著你鼻子走的人，畢業後就要擔起附和潮流，騙人每月換掉身上的衣服。但我不要牽你往那個境地 ... ... 」所以一畢業她便是一個全職藝術家，作品包括繪畫、裝置、文字等等。過去十年，二犬舉行過無數展覽，出版過很多本書，亦有作品被選中在威尼斯雙年展中展出。其中一件紙雕塑/裝置作品更被香港藝術館購下及收藏。想知更多，可到她在pinkwork城市的單位 ﹝有她的聲音及短片﹞...
