This "meow" sound CD has been quite famous already, I remember I heard it from the news several year ago. I've just never thought I would buy or own one. Now I'm playing it again and again the whole day and deeply impressed by the sound of my "same specie". Some people said it's not "real" cause their sound had been edited by the computer. That's also the point I want to talk about here. MEOW ... I'm going to write a review for a Cats' CD. (100% my personal opinion)
This CD features many classics or chart hits, such as "Over the Raindow", "Santa Lucia", "Secret Agent Man" ... etc. I just found that the cats' voices in many songs are too "machine". I can't feel any "heart" or "emotion" in their voices. (That's the quote I learn from the judges in those very popular singing contest tv shows recently ). Especially for those upbeat songs, maybe it's because each note is too short. I just heard a series of tv game-like "meow" sounds, a bit too "flat". But there is one exception. In song No. 12 "O Sole Mio", I could heard some more varied and colorful cats' voices. So please don't think cats cannot sing well. It's the fault of the producer, who should be a HUMAN. Next time he / she should pick more slow-tempo songs for the CATs or even allow them to do some improvisations during recording (we don't want perfect pitch !) ... The DVD part has videos of birds, mice, fish, butterflies and toys. Apparently they're all targeting cats audiences. Anyway it is a good gift for both the cats and human. I rated it 3 out of 5 stars.

一位在唱片公司工作的朋友剛送給我這隻「貓聲」CD/DVD。真開心，我整天都在播放，被同類的歌聲深深吸引。年前已從新聞聽聞有一名外國人用貓貓、狗狗的聲音製成了節日歌曲CD，還大賣。想不到會自己會擁有一張﹝因為從未想過會買呀！﹞。貓貓的聲音當然是經過電腦處理。這也正是我想談談的。哈，我竟然打算為一張貓聲CD寫碟評。﹝這只是我的個人意見﹞
我覺得專輯內很多歌曲的「貓」聲都欠缺了感情。我完全聽不到牠們的歌聲中有「Heart」！﹝這句說話是「超級巨聲」電視節目那些評判常說的。﹞特別是那些節奏比較快的歌，可能因為每個音節都比較短，我只聽到像電視遊戲一樣的「喵」聲，有點生硬。不過有一些是例外，像第12首的《O Sole Mio》，那些貓貓的歌聲便很有感情。所以別說我們不懂唱歌，問題是出自那個唱片監製，他／她應該是人類。下次他應該多選一些慢歌，甚至錄音時讓貓貓多些即興的自由發揮。我們不要百分百音準呢！至於DVD部份，有雀仔、魚、蝴蝶、老鼠的VIDEO，明顯是為貓貓觀眾而設的。
總體來說，這是人類和貓貓的一份好禮物。我給它評分三粒星。提一提醒大家，《JiNGLE CATS》 專輯還有狗版本 ... 祝Cherry聖誕及新年快快樂樂！
